Optional Electronic Module: How much does the Optional Electronic Module weigh?

The Optional Electronic Module weighs 0.89 kg (1.9 lbs). We developed the module to meet the needs of people who need and want A LOT of power and the ability to charge a laptop or multiple USB powered devices. It’s the most powerful on the market!

If you’re happy with your existing USB portable charger for your travel needs and destination, you can continue using it, and it will seamlessly integrate with G-RO. Please also keep in mind, that the Optional Electronic Module is completely removable, so you can choose to use it or not use it depending on your needs.

Optional Electronic Module: How do I add the Optional Electronic Module to my order?

1) Select the reward level that you want. 2) Increase your “Pledge Amount” by $99 per Optional Electronic Module. (There is no drop down menu or button to press. All you do is add $99 for each G-RO you want to add to your pledge.) 3) After the end of the Kickstarter, we will send out a survey to ask you how you would like the add-on money to be assigned.

Ex: Let’s say I want the Road Warrior Package with four Optional Electronic Modules. I would adjust my Pledge Amount to $899 + $99*4=$1,295.

Optional Electronic Module: How do I add the electronic module after I have already pledged?

To add the optional electronic module to your pledge, all you need to do is edit your current level and add $99 to your pledge amount manually in the Pledge Amount box at the top of the pledge page. (To add more modules, add $99 x however many modules you would like.)

After changing your pledge amount in the top box, click the green CONTINUE bottom on the bottom and CONFIRM the amount. It may confirm you for the original amount. Click CONFIRM and it will then show you to correct total amount on the final page.

After the campaign ends, we will send out a survey so you can confirm that the extra money was for the module.

Optional Electronic Module: Does the Optional Electronic Module meet TSA, FAA and IATA requirements?

Currently, our Optional Electronic Module design includes lithium-ion batteries, as well as integrated GSM and Bluetooth technologies. We fully expect our electronics module will be FAA, TSA and IATA compliant for use in the G-RO (and we will seek agency approval). Nevertheless, use of certain spare batteries and wireless technology is NOT always permitted in checked bags in every country, on every airline, and on every flight.

In addition, these regulations are subject to change without warning. We will do our best to keep to the standards of all travel regulations.

If you are uncertain, please remember that the module is optional and you can always order and purchase it at a later date.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
